Follow someone's flight when you pick them up
With Flighto, the person flying shares their flight as a link, and you follow it live in your browser, no app needed: status, delay, landing time, and gate and baggage belt when the airport reports them. Sharing needs Flighto Pro on the traveller's phone; following the link needs nothing.
How it works
- The traveller opens their flight in Flighto and taps Invite pickup. They can add their name.
- They send the link with any app, for example Messages, WhatsApp or email.
- You open the link. The page shows the flight live and updates itself about every 15 seconds while it's open.
What the page shows
- The status of the flight and a countdown to departure or landing, with any delay.
- Both times in local time, for example “FRA 10:55 → 13:55 JFK”.
- Gate and baggage belt, but only when the airport reports them.
- Directions to the arrival terminal, and a simple map of the route.
- Everything in your browser's language, in 13 languages.
Good to know
- The link ends 24 hours after the planned arrival, or earlier if the traveller stops sharing.
- A traveller can share up to five flights at the same time.
- If you have Flighto yourself, the link opens the flight in the app.
- The page doesn't show the aircraft on its map. Flighto shows it live in the app.
Short answers
Do I need the app to follow a flight someone shared?
No. The link opens in any browser.
Can I follow a flight without a link?
Yes, in the app: search for the flight number, and Flighto adds the flight to My Flights, where you can mark it as a pickup. Flight status needs Flighto Pro.
